Insurance News: Nethopper Wins DXC Invitational Award

Trio take top honours at DXC Invitational - Insurance News - insuranceNEWS.com.au


The recent DXC Invitational 2024 showcased innovative solutions in the insurance technology sector, with three standout winners in different categories:


Staunch Technology from Queensland won the "workers’ comp, self-insurance and public liability" category. This company impressed with its software platform designed to predict injuries, and founder Jenny Legge highlighted a new return-to-work module during their pitch.


myVal, based in Sydney, took the award for "innovating within the DXC Assure insurance product suite." Their AI-driven record-keeping platform helps prevent underinsurance and identifies policy limits on high-value items like jewelry and electronics. Director Dan Novick expressed excitement about this milestone in transforming asset protection.


Nethopper, a US-based group, was awarded for "enriching the insurance experience." Principal solutions architect Dan Donahue expressed surprise and honor at winning this category in the competitive pitch event.


“It was an honour to participate in this ‘shark tank’ pitch competition. It was a total surprise when I was fortunate enough to win,” principal solutions architect Dan Donahue said.

The DXC Invitational aims to discover market-ready products that enhance customer experience, increase efficiency, and support compliance throughout the insurance lifecycle. The event featured pitches from several insurtech companies and was judged by a panel including Insurtech Australia CEO Simone Dossetor. The competition underscores DXC's commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the insurance industry by partnering with startups and scaleups globally.
